Sarah Williams is the 15-year-old protagonist of the 80s cult film Labyrinth and is played by by Jennifer Connelly.
At the beginning of the film, Sarah is a spoiled, selfish girl absorbed in her world of fantasy tales. She is first seen acting out a scene from a book called 'Labyrinth.' Later, she wishes her baby brother away to the goblins, just like the heroine in her book. Turns out, the story is real and her brother Toby is taken by Jareth, King of the Goblins.
By the end of the film, Sarah has matured - to put others before herself, lose her selfish attitude, and believe in herself and her abilities. She understands that everyone must grow up at some point, but that doesn't mean letting go of your inner child. Though she begins to put away her toys and costumes, she promises to stay in touch with the friends she makes during her journey through the Labyrinth.
